ACT 3 Catering has been serving the Greater Seattle and Tacoma area for over 40 years. We're a locally owned and operated catering company that welcomes you to share our passion for great food and service. ACT 3 coordinates small, intimate parties, large-scale events, and everything in between.

Terri D's to ACT 3
ACT 3’s story began in 1984, when Terri and Chuck Doremus, along with their son Blair, started Terri D’s Catering from their family kitchen with one simple goal: to put smiles on the faces of friends. What began as homemade dishes for social gatherings quickly grew through word of mouth into a beloved local catering company.
For nearly four decades, the Doremus family built their business around great food, genuine hospitality, and treating clients like family. In 2020, ownership was passed to local food-service entrepreneur Jim Brinton, carrying that legacy into its next chapter.
Today, we’re proud to honor where we started while continuing to grow, adapt, and bring people together; creating memorable moments around the table for families, friends, businesses, and communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.

GIVING BACK
Good Goes Beyond the Table
For us, hospitality extends beyond the events we serve. We believe in showing up for the communities around us, giving back where we can, and using what we do best to make a meaningful difference.
The food that remains after an ACT 3 catered event doesn't go to waste, it goes to work. We partner with Eat Happy Now, a local nonprofit dedicated to rescuing healthy, surplus food and getting it into the hands of people who need it.
Here's how it works: after an event wraps up, Eat Happy Now's network of volunteers picks up our leftover food and delivers it to shelters, food banks, and community organizations within a five-mile radius of the pickup location. What was extra on our end becomes a meal on someone else's; quickly, safely, and close to home.
We're proud to partner with Wish Upon a Wedding, a national nonprofit that grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or life-altering health circumstances. Since 2009, they've helped hundreds of couples across the country celebrate their love and create lasting memories with the people who matter most, during some of life's hardest moments.
As a Wish Granter, ACT 3 donated catering services for these celebrations, joining a network of wedding industry professionals who volunteer their time and talents to make each wish possible. It's an honor to help take one worry off a couple's plate so they can focus on what matters which is each other.
